As I recall, the early church invented the hospital. Before that the sick were shunned and abandoned. Making the leap from physical healing to spiritual healing has proven to be a formidable task. Jesus worked on the sinners not the pious. As a sinner, I just hope if I keep pretending to be healthy eventually I will be a little healthier.
I am husband to Wendy, dad to Andrew and Benjamin, alpha male to Labs Seven and Comet (and maybe only to them), a pastor, a neo-Campbellite, a die-hard NY Yankee fan, and a "frustrated immersionist Episcopalian" (tic) who loves traditional liturgy and rock and roll church.
